Farmall Tractors International Harvester Case IH Toys In All Scales, Ertl, Speccast Models

The Farmall Tractor (manufactured by International Harvester starting in the 1920’s) has been highly recognized as a favorite tractor for many generations.  Today, many people (young and young at heart) collect die cast Farmall toy replicas as a popular hobby because it is what grandpa and dad used to work the land with.

Why are Farmall toy tractors so popular?

Family farms were once a way of life throughout rural America and it used to be that everyone in the country had a connection to a farm.  Today, the smaller farming operations no longer exist due to financial hardships and other developments.  People still have fond memories of life as it was, the machinery once used, and the few but precious toy tractors they had which we now call antiques.

What toy models are available today?

The die cast toy replicas are available in 1:16, 1:32, 1:50, and 1:64 scale models.  It is possible to find the Farmall Cub, A, B, Super C, H, M, Super M, International 966, 1066, 1086, 1456, 1466, several Case models as well as newer Case IH models.  Models can be hard to find as some are “Dealer Exclusive” and when the dealers are sold out-that particular model is not made anymore and no longer available from the toy manufacturer.

Who makes the die cast tractor replicas?

Well-known companies Ertl (RC2 Racing Champions, Inc.), Speccast, and Scale Models produce these detailed collectibles and release their models to distributors for resale.  All three companies are located in Dyersville, Iowa.

How to choose which toy replica is for you.

It really depends on if you plan to play with your toy or use it as a shelf model.  The higher priced, high detail toys are meant for an older owner (14 and up) as some of the sand box models are best suited for children who are ready for pretend field work.
