To cut more acres in a day, Speedrower PLUS windrowers are easier to drive and can operate at faster speeds. The new SensiDrive ground drive system uses drive-by-wire technology to control ground drive pumps and wheel motors, resulting in more power in tough conditions and straighter mowing with less steering fatigue. Improved drivability also yields speeds of up to 20 mph (32 kph) in-field and 30 mph (48 kph) on-road – the fastest in the industry and 30% faster than prior Speedrowers.
MORE GROUND DRIVE POWER IN THE TOUGHEST CONDITIONS
These windrowers have been designed to deliver power in the toughest conditions, such as on steep hills. In fact, the high-speed transport version of the Speedrower 220 PLUS and 260 PLUS boasts nearly double the previous generation’s hill climbing ability, with over 11,000 lb. ft. of torque at the drive wheels and a 20% hill-climbing improvement. Even more impressive is the SensiDrive ground drive system, which compensates by automatically adjusting the pump and wheel motors to provide ample drive torque while eliminating system over-pressurization.

That’s why we partnered with Danfoss®, a leading global producer of hydraulic drive pumps, motors, and hydrostatic ground drive solutions. We went a step further and developed a new main gearbox to power these windrowers and upgraded to heavy-duty Dana® brand planetary final drive gearboxes. The result is design reliability that you can depend on to deliver productivity, acre after acre.
TRIED AND PROVEN ENGINE EMISSION SOLUTIONS
Powering all three models are ECOBlue™ Hi-eSCR (High-Efficiency Selective Catalytic Reduction) engines developed by Fiat Powertrain (FPT) Industrial. These engines offer clean, reliable power and performance with impressive fuel efficiency and torque.
SELECTIVE CATALYTIC REDUCTION (SCR) PROCESS
1) Exhaust gases leave turbo outlet and travel through the Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC) canister, where precise amounts of DEF are injected into the exhaust stream
2) DEF quickly vaporizes and converts to ammonia and carbon dioxide (the basic elements of DEF)
3) Exhaust, carbon dioxide and ammonia pass into the SCR chamber
4) In the SCR canister, carbon dioxide is neutralized, and the ammonia catalytically reacts to NOx
5) After the catalytic reaction, the harmless nitrogen vapor and water vapor are released through the exhaust pipe to the atmosphere
STYLE MEETS FUNCTION
Productivity requires keeping both you and the windrower cool. On the rear of the machine, the iconic New Holland leaf logo has been incorporated into the rotary screen protective cover. However, this cooling system features updates beyond aesthetics – it’s designed for optimal heat exchange to maintain engine and hydraulic cooling efficiency. While competitive designs use a hydraulically-driven cooling fan that consumes horsepower and varies rotary screen suction and air flow, the Speedrower PLUS has a mechanical-driven 42-inch fan that runs continuously to provide uninterrupted air flow and nonstop rotary screen cleaning.
